Stanley Eugene Sage of Longwood, Florida passed away peacefully on March 23, 2023, while visiting Chilhowie, Virginia. Stanley was born on July 27, 1933 in Rugby, Virginia to the late Bruce and Vriana Dockery Sage. Stanley was the loving husband of 68 years to Helen Joines Sage. Stanley served in the Army and fought in the Korean War and served in the Navy on a destroyer escort along with his late brother, Jesse Sage.

Stanley was a barber for 59 + years, owned the Fern Park Barber Shop in Fern Park, Florida for 49 years, and still barbered in his garage at home for a few customers because he loved people.
Stanley loved to fish and hunt and spend time with his family and friends and also enjoyed his 2nd home in Virginia.

He is survived by his loving wife, Helen Joines Sage, and two daughters, Sharon (Rick) Stangler of Pompano Beach, Fl, and Robin Sage Brown of Longwood, Fl. Three grandchildren, Ryan Stangler, Castle Rock, CO, LeAnn Smith, Ga and Cassidy Sage Brown, Longwood, Fl and Nine Great Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life and Legacy Saturday, April 1 from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Services will begin at 5:00 pm at DeGusipe Funeral Home, Maitland, Fl. Reception following services. Graveside services will be Sunday, April 2 at 1100:am at the Highland Memory Gardens, Forest City, Fl with Military Honors.
