It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Dr. Srinivasan "Srini" Subramanian Pillai during the early morning hours of October 10, 2024, in Orlando Health Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving wife. He was a beloved father, husband, son, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, cousin, and friend, who left us peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 54 years old. Srini was preceded in death by his mother, Karpagam and his cherished dog Ruby.
Born on May 6th,1970 in Chennai India, Srini was a remarkable individual known for his kindness, strength, and resilience. Srini graduated from Don Bosco Matriculation school, Chennai, India in 1987 and received his Medical Degree from Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai, India in 1993. He completed his internship at Howard University Hospital, Washington, DC and Residency at Jackson Park Hospital, Chicago, IL. He practiced family medicine at Kirkman Medical Center, Orlando, FL from 2009, until his passing. Dr. Pillai was a devoted family physician, dedicated his life to the well-being of his patients and making a meaningful impact on those around him.
He enjoyed flying kites, traveling, playing golf with his son, and watching movies that featured his favorite actors: Rajinikanth and Tom Cruise.
As a husband Srini was a source of support and inspiration. He cherished every moment with Lynn; together they created a life filled with love, laughter, and countless beautiful memories. He was a devoted father to Bryan, providing unwavering support and guidance, teaching him compassion, hard work, and resilience.
Srini was a devoted son to his parents providing them with unconditional love and support throughout his life. He cherished his role as a son and physician, looking after them in their later years.
Srini was a wonderful brother who offered guidance, love and leadership to his younger brothers. A source of inspiration and courage, he stood by them in their early years. He was there whenever they needed him, sharing his wisdom and insights during many meaningful conversations.
Srini is survived by his wife Lynn, son Bryan, father Ramasamy, brothers Malaisamy, Kanak, niece Ella, nephews Vishwa, Rohith, sisters-in-law Anitha, Punitha, several aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends in India, Philippines and the United States. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished moments. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Though he may no longer be with us, his love will continue to shine brightly in our lives, reminding us of the beautiful moments we shared together.
A celebration of life visitation and funeral ceremony for Srini will be held on Friday, October 18th, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at DeGusipe Funeral home at 9001 Orlando Ave, Maitland, Florida, 32751. All are welcome to attend, a streaming option will be available for those unable to attend.
