Sophia Maria Weiss' Obituary
Sophia Maria Weiss, 93 of Deltona, Florida passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2014. Ms. Weiss was born July 12, 1921 in Partenkirchen, Germany to Wolfgang and Barbara Schwind.
Sophia left her home country to come here to raise her young daughter alone after WWII. She taught herself the language and worked hard to provide for her small family.
Years later she met a man whom she would marry and create a bigger family. They loved each and worked hard together until he finally passed leaving her with two young children and two mortgages on their home. She persevered and paid off the home without any help.
She was a woman of small stature but big of heart providing love, caring and humor to all around her. She will be missed.
