Shirley Renee Patterson Negley, 74, of Waynesburg, PA, passed away peacefully at home on April 27, 2026. Born November 21, 1951, she lived with grace, compassion, and devotion to family and community.

A registered nurse and proprietor of Shirley's Cleaning Business, Shirley was an Officer in the Greene County Ladies of the Moose Lodge #461, a member of the Eagles Club and the VFW. For over three decades, she supported Toys for Tots, collected for families in need, hosted charitable gatherings, and supported the Waynesburg Animal Shelter. She found joy in bowling, bingo, and her beloved dogs, Boe and Nellie.

Shirley was preceded in death by her son, Shaunn Negley; parents, Jennie Elizabeth Mercer and George Patterson Sr.; and sister, Jeannie Mae Courtney.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Negley; daughter, Bianca Willis (Shawn); grandson, Joshua Willis (Lauren); her nephews, David Courtney, Jason Courtney, Dakotta Thomas, Apatchi Thomas, Charles "Bubba" Jones, and Richard Courtney II; and her nieces, Jessica Vedis (John), Chyenne Thomas, Nikita Courtney, Shawnee McClure, and Lily Courtney; as well as a host of extended family and dear friends who loved her dearly.

No formal services are planned. All are welcome to join the family for Shirley's Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Waynesburg, PA VFW. Donations in her memory may be made to your local Toys for Tots or to the Waynesburg Animal Shelter. Shirley will be forever remembered as a pillar of kindness.
