On Monday, September 18, 2017, Shirley Lowry, wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 88 years. She was born October 4, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan, and briefly lived in California for a couple years before residing to Florida in 1955, where she worked as a word processor for Allstate, until she later retired. She is predeceased by her loving and devoted husband of 46 years, Lloyd Lowry. Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her children, Larry (Carolyn); Lloyd (Tina); Leslie (Rick) Brown; and Lee (Jennifer). She will also be fondly remembered by her 6 grandchildren, Laura (Paul) Phinney; Lindi (Brian) Timm; Chris (Dawn) Brown; Michelle (Cory) Collins; Alexe, Brittany and Elle; as well as 4 great grandchildren, Ethan, Aidan, Ryan and Noah.
A viewing will be held on Friday, September 22nd, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., at the R. Lee Williams & Son Funeral Home in St. Petersburg.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 23rd, at 2:00 p.m., at the R. Lee Williams & Son Funeral Home, 3530 49th Street North, St. Petersburg, with Leslie Pulley officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Memorial Park, 49th Street North, St. Petersburg.
