Obituary

Shannon Gail Storm, 73, born August 22, 1953, in Lorain, Ohio, lived boldly, lovedfiercely, and left an unforgettable impression on everyone she met. The youngest of three children in a Coast Guard family, she grew up moving frequently before making Tallahassee, Florida, her home. A pioneering nurse practitioner and certified nurse midwife, Shannon devoted more than four decades to healthcare. Respected throughout Tallahassee’s medical community, she helped deliver thousands of babies and championed compassionate care for women and families. Loud, opinionated, generous, and fiercely loyal, Shannon was a force of nature with a soft heart. She loved music, spirited debates, and cheering for Florida State, the Green Bay Packers, and several local Tampa Bay professional sports teams. She was a second mother to many and a steadfast champion for those she loved. After the death of her husband, Craig Feeny, in 2017, Shannon moved to St. Petersburg to be closer to her daughter and family. Her greatest joy was being Grandma to Everly and Jackie. In a treasured full circle moment, she helped deliver Jackie in 2024. Shannon is survived by her daughter, Caitlin (Caiti) Feeny Wolfe; son in law, Brad Wolfe; granddaughters, Everly and Jackie Wolfe; and brother, Terry Storm. She was preceded in death by her husband, Craig, and her brother, Scott Storm. Shannon was cremated, and her ashes will be scattered in the ocean. Memorial arrangements will be announced later. The world is quieter without her, but she is surely blazing trails in heaven.
