Shameroon Mulchan, nicknamed "Sham", passed away unexpectedly and peaceful at
AdventHealth Hospital in Altamonte Springs in Florida.
Sham is survived by her children, son Gary S. Mulchan and daughters Neisha Mulchan, Judy
Mulcan and Asha Mulchan. She is also survived by brothers Aleem and Amin Hosein and a
sister S. Aman.
Sham was born on 6 June 1935 in Princes Town, Trinidad, and graduated from St. Michaels
School in 1947. She was married to Gary Ramdeo Mulchan in 1954; Gary Mulchan was an
accountant. They moved to New York City in in 1966 where Sham worked as a Nanny before
joining Gimbels Department store as a retail specialist. She remained with Gimbels until she
retired.
Sham's greatest accomplishments in life were 70 years of marriage, six children, 11
grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She and her husband also helped to raise her four
siblings and eventually brought them to the United States where they became successful in
their respective careers. In addition, they helped numerous family members and friends with
relocation to the USA. She did active service to the communities where she lived on a regular
basis, in particular, supporting efforts to help children.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, 19 June, at DeGuisepe's Funeral Home, 9001 N.
Orlando Avenue, Maitland, FL 32751 (ph. 407-695-2273). Silent viewing for family only will be
from 9:30 to 10:30. Friends and other attendees are welcome to join us from 10:30 to noon.
