Seymour Isaac Fox peacefully departed this world November 26, 2025 in Orlando, FL. ‘Sy’ was born August 9,1937, in New York, NY to Phillip Fox and Rebecca Abramawitz. He married the love of his life, Joyce Valerie Adler and had two children; Edward and Rebecca.

The family moved to Pennsylvania where he owned a garment business and did computer consulting for the Host Farm Resort. After finishing high school, his son Ed joined the US Air Force and the family moved to Winter Park, FL, where Rebecca finished high school. Sy continued computer consulting in addition to printing.

In 1985, at 49, he suffered several strokes and always expressed his gratitude for the loving support of his family, whom he considered his greatest accomplishment. They moved to a home in Maitland, where they joined Chabad of Greater Orlando, where Sy was very proud to have his Bar Mitzvah at 70, adopting the name ‘Simcha’ in the tradition. He remained in the home after Joyce’s passing in 2013, and faced several health challenges, but persevered with the support and love from his family and many loved ones.

Proceeding him in death include his beloved wife Joyce, siblings Thelma Ligator, Patty Leinwand, Stanley Fox, Jerry Fox, Rhonda Miller, David Fox and nephew Daniel Roberts.

Survivors include sister Shelly Riga of Bayside, NY, son Edward Fox of Deltona, FL, daughter Rebecca Gravette (Michael Barr) of Maitland, FL, granddaughters Ashley Brint (Spencer) of Casselberry, FL, Heather Gravette (Phillip Chen) of Deltona, FL, and great-grandchildrenThea and Leo.

Throughout his life, Sy participated in his community and touched many hearts. He was socially active, charismatic, intelligent, kind, and a pet lover. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, and writing – even completing a book in his last years. He will be sorely missed by all whoknew and loved him.
