Scott Steven Hiss, 37, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 8, at Central Florida Regional Hospital. . Scott is survived by his wife, Christine Hiss; daughter, Victoria Hiss and her fiance' Adrian Amayo; son, Nolan Hiss; daughter, Rileigh Hiss; father, Steven Hiss and mother Kathleen Hiss; sister; Leah Hiss and her fiance' Michelle Solano, and Abbey Hiss Voigt and her husband (Peter Voigt) and their children Anna and Jaden, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

Scott was born in Toledo, Ohio on February 23, 1978. The family moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1987 where he attended the rest of his elementary and middle school years and the first two years of high school. This is where he became a very loyal Ohio State Buckeye fan. Scott relocated to Lake Mary, Florida in 1994, and graduated from Lake Mary High School in 1996. In 1999 Scott married the love of his life, Christine, and they have raised their 3 children.

He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Patricia Markusic, his grandparents Richard and Esther Brandel, Fred and Laura Jeane Hiss, and cousin Elizabeth Downs.

Scott spent much of his adult life in the home-building business, most recently as co-manager of the 84 Lumber operation in Sanford, Florida.

Scott loved grilling outdoors for friends and family. He was a terrific guy for delivering great fun and great food.

The viewing will be held on Friday October 23 from 4:30pm-8:00pm at DeGusipe Funeral Home and Crematory and a funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 24th at 1:00pm at All Souls Catholic Church.

A reception will follow the celebration of the funeral Mass.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made for a college fund for Scott and Christine's children. Please make checks payable to Christine Hiss.
