Obituary

Eighteen years ago, a beautiful, bright, and witty girl entered this world on October 27, 1999. Her Mother, Beth Anne Foster, and her Father, Christopher Michael Vaiden, named their precious child Sarah Elizabeth Foster. Sarah was born in Orlando, FL, where she spent her childhood growing very close with her parents and her grandparents, Robert L. Foster and Karyn K. Foster.

At an early age, Sarah displayed a deep love for animals, which ultimately led to her faithfully volunteering for five years at A New Beginning Pet Rescue. Her unique bond with animals quickly led Sarah down a deeper path in life as she developed a passion for horses and a love for riding. She became an accomplished equestrian and championed her way into many competitions riding her beloved horses, Misty and Sawyer.

Throughout her life, Sarah was an avid collector of model horses, a hobby she found great joy in, and devoted much of her time toward. Her collection totaled over 150 models and she knew the extensive details on each and every horse she owned. She showed her models at many events, including the North American Nationals, where she received three National Champion and three Reserve National Champion awards in 2016. She was also awarded the prestigious Dayton Layman Sportsmanship Trophy at Breyerfest 2017 in honor of her dedication to the hobby and her perseverance to attend the Breyer Open Show, despite her physical circumstances.

Sarah attended several schools during her years, where she consistently excelled academically. She was an honor student at Circle Christian School, a member of the National Society of High School Scholars, and a gifted tutor to struggling students. She worked diligently in her studies with the aspiration of becoming a neurologist.

Traveling was exciting to Sarah and she was sure to make the most of each moment. She had the joy of experiencing many of life's adventures, such as parasailing, zip-lining, snowmobiling, and of course, dog sledding, just to name a few. However, simple moments like picking apples in a Carolina orchard or riding horses through trails of vast forests were equally as meaningful to Sarah. She always dreamed of visiting Ireland.

With her free spirit, Sarah embraced life to the fullest. She had a dynamic personality and found humor in every situation. She was known and loved for her laughter, and what an amazingly contagious laugh she had!
Sarah had the most sincere and kind heart, always thinking of others before herself. The compassion and devotion she exemplified resulted in many lifelong friendships. She found her calling in loving others, despite her own adversity. She had a heart for the underdog and proudly devoted herself to those who were suffering. In this way, she truly modeled the love of Christ, her Savior, and was a remarkable inspiration to the countless lives she touched. Sarah was insightful, full of peace, and wise beyond her years, known to many as an old soul.

On November 2, 2017, Sarah was called home to the Lord. She will be greatly missed and forever held in our hearts, until we meet again. Sarah is preceded in death by Gregg and Nancy Vaiden. She is survived by her mother, Beth Foster; father and step-mother, Christopher and Jamie Vaiden; half-brothers, CJ and Chase Vaiden; grandparents, Robert and Karyn Foster; along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and many treasured friends.

Please join us in honoring Sarah's life at Northland, A Church Distributed, on Saturday, November 11 at 7:30 pm. Northland is located at 530 Dog Track Road, Longwood, FL 32750.
