Sandra VanVoorhis (Sandy)

Sandy VanVoorhis passed away peacefully with her children by her side on October 27, 2024 at the age of 81.

Sandy is survived by her children Patty (Chuck) LaPeters, Nancy VanVoorhis and Jon (Caitlin) VanVoorhis, along with her grandchildren Taylor LaPeters, Samantha Gabbai, Henry VanVoorhis, Finn VanVoorhis and Oliver VanVoorhis.

Sandy was born on February 27, 1943, in Columbus, Ohio and moved with her young family to Central Florida in 1975. She began working at what is now Orlando Health in 1983 and remained a loyal team member for over 35 years. While she had a wonderful career, her favorite title was always grandma. Her love of family knew no bounds.

In keeping with her wishes, there will not be a public service. The family will be gathering for an informal open house at the beach, aka her happy place, the setting for so many beautiful memories.

The gathering will be held in New Smyrna Beach on Saturday, November 9 to celebrate a life well lived.
