Sandra Marie Sigourney, age 72, of Longwood, Florida, passed away on May 17, 2022. Sandra was born on December 31 1949, in Saginaw, Michigan; the daughter of Julia (Brown) and Burt Schrems.

Preceded in death by her parents; Sandra is survived by her husband, Frank F. Sigourney, her sons Steven T. (Sabrina) Sigourney and Frank G. (Susan) Sigourney; her daughter Molly Schrems (Edward) Sigourney; siblings Virginia Wendling and Tom Schrems and 5 grandchildren: Ben, Jack, Palmer, Maren and Blake.

Sandy earned her Masters Degree in special education in her late 30's and taught emotionally handicapped children at Rock Lock Elementary school until her and Frank were in a catastrophic car accident in 2002. As a result of the accident she was paralyzed from the neck down. Despite the doctors estimating she'd live about 6 more years, Sandy lived more than 20 years after the accident. She was cared for by her husband Frank and constant support from her daughter, Molly.
