Samuel Kaleel is survived by his wife, Constance Kaleel; his children, Tracey Richmond, Terri Gotschall and Samuel L Kaleel; his son-in-laws, Pat Richmond and John Gotschall; his grandsons, Austin Welsh, Cameron Welsh and John S Gotschall. He is preceded in death by his mother Dessa Amanda (Branch) Kaleel, his father Louis Abraham Kaleel, and his first wife Ethel (Lloyd) Kaleel.
Samuel was born on January 28, 1947 in Jacksonville, Florida to Dessa and Louis Kaleel. Growing up he was involved with the Boy Scouts and became an Eagle Scout. He graduated from Bishop Kenny High School. He attended the University of Florida. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Accounting. He was a certified public accountant and became a Chief Financial Officer for Senninger Irrigation for over 25 years.
Samuel married Ethel (Lloyd) Kaleel on February 24, 1968 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, in Jacksonville, FL. Ethel went home to the Lord on November 17, 1989. Samuel married Constance (Satterlee) Kaleel on July 3, 1990 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Jacksonville, FL.
Samuel was devoted to both his nuclear and extended family. He relished spending time playing with his children and grandchildren. He was a lifelong devout Catholic who loved his faith. He was a numbers man, who constantly played math games in his head. He loved motorcycles, canoeing and Gator football. Also, he enjoyed a good game of Setback and Last Tag with the family. Last but not least, he loved "riding a bench", because the world was spinning so you could just have a seat and take a ride.
He was active participant in his community. He had been a member of Kiwanis where he served as president. He was a member of the VFW and was also involved with Meals on Wheels.
Arrangements are being made through DeGusipe Funeral Home in Maitland, FL. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024 at 10:30 am at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 5300 Old Howell Branch Road, Winter Park, FL and burial will be at Queen of Angels Cemetery in Winter Park, Florida.
