Ryszard Olenderek (04/04/1960 - 01/23/2026)

It is with immense sadness, we say goodbye to you, but we know that your love and kind heart will never fade. You will forever remain a part of our lives, in every thought, each memory, and in our everlasting gratitude for who you were. Although you are no longer with us, your heart beats on in our memories and continues to guide us.

Ryszard was an example for others during his studies, serving on committees and trying to help students at risk of expulsion from the university. He co-organized many student camps in Poland and abroad. He held a master's degree in economics from the University of Łódź and was a huge fan of the Łódź Sports Club, loving soccer, volleyball, hockey and basketball. His favorite songs included "We Are the Champions" by Queen and "Forever Young" by Alphaville. On August 17, 1985 he married Małgorzata Płonka Olenderek, his high school sweetheart and the love of his life.

Ryszard Olenderek is preceded in death by his daughter, Magdalenka Olenderek, his father Bolesław Olenderek and his mother, Janina Olenderek.

He is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Małgorzata Olenderek, his daughters Marta and Monika Olenderek, his sister Iwona Kaczanowska and his grandson, Chase Olenderek.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 31st at San Pedro Center Chapel at 10:00 AM and a burial at Queen of Angels Catholic Cemetery at 11:00 AM. A reception will be held at Anna's Polish Restaurant right afterwards. Flowers, donations and condolences may be offered through the DeGusipe Funeral Home website.
