Obituary

Jesus said to her "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?"
John 11:25-26

Ryan Christopher Cook passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 13, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife, Carli; son, Jason; Mother Patricia Cook of Debary; Father Clay Cook of Ormond Beach (stepmother Mary); sister, Caitlin; Step sisters Jackie Viscosi, Alexandra Doyle (John); Stepbrother Christian Viscosi, niece, Brynn; nephew Isaac; and way too many dear, dear family members and friends to enumerate.

"Oh, how we cried the day you left us,
We gathered round your grave to grieve,
I wish I could see the angels' faces
When they hear your sweet voice sing."
Go Rest High On That Mountain—Vince Gill

Ryan Cook was born on May 8, 1984 in Cherry Point, North Carolina, and was raised in Florida with strong roots in Oklahoma. He was a member of the Air Force from 2006 through 2014 achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. Most currently, Ryan was a senior at the Hamilton Holt College of Business of Rollins College, also working for Arthur's Catering.

"When you get up in the mornin'
And you see that crazy sun,
Keep me in your heart for a while,
There's a train leavin' nightly called
'When All Is Said and Done,'
Keep me in your heart for a while."
Keep Me in Your Heart—Warren Zevon

Ryan's was (and is) an infectious spirit that spread quickly to all around him. He loved emphatically, and he was passionate about everything. It was impossible not to love him, as he loved everyone. His stature was matched only by his persona: big, inviting, and warm. He left a void in our lives and hearts.

He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you
Never, ever, during your trials and testings. When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you."- Mary Stevenson
