Ruth V. Hotz 92 of St. Petersburg passed away Friday, May 5, 2017 with her loving family at her side. Born in Detroit, Michigan, she moved here in 1980 where she was a member of the American Legion and was active in the Boy Scouts of America. Ruth was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Maurice J. Hotz, Jr., three sons: James J. Hotz, Randall K. Hotz and Maurice J. Hotz III. She is the loving mother of Donna G. Johnson, Linda C. Costello, Ronald D. Hotz, Susan L. Jones and Larry S. Hotz; devoted grandmother of 15; great grandmother of 18 and great great grandmother of 1. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, May 9 from 11:30 A.M. until time of service at 1:30 P.M. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery.
