Russell Leonard Schmidt passed away on Sunday February 23, 2014 at the age of 64. He is preceded in death by his wife Shauna and survived by his parents Don and Dolores Schmidt, siblings Glen Schmidt and Carlen Ginzl and niece and nephew Kyle Ginzl and Erika Mather.
Russell was born on January 3, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Paramus, N.J. He graduated from Muhlenberg College, earned his Master's degree from Illinois Institute of Technology and received his PhD in physics from Max Plank Institute in Stuttgart, Germany. Scientific research was his passion.
Memorial Services will be held this Sunday, March 2nd at 1 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church – 1600 S. Orlando Ave. Winter Park Fl 32789
In lieu of flowers gifts can be made in Russell's memory to St. John Lutheran Church 1600 S. Orlando Ave. Winter Park Fl 32789
