Ruby Beatrice Brooks, nee Sutphin, age 89, passed away on Monday November 21, 2022. She was born in Amigo, West Virginia, and moved to Orlando, Florida, in 1957. Ruby was an angel walking among us. She faced life with extraordinary strength of character, no complaints, good humor, and an abiding love that always sought to take care of others before herself. Ruby endured tragic losses, yet still woke each day with kindness and gratitude in her heart.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, I.R. Brooks, a daughter, Vicki Brooks, and a son, Steve Brooks. She is survived by son Terry Brooks (wife Chris), daughter Connie Walker (husband Mark), and son Jim Brooks (wife Shannon) and grandchildren Adam Walker, Ashley Walker (wife Lauren), Travis Brooks, Steven Brooks (wife Rachel), Dr. Jonathan Brooks (wife Dr. Emily), Amber Brooks, Matthew Brooks, and Samantha Brooks, and one great-grandchild Zachary Brooks.
