On Saturday July 13, 2024, Roxana Monica Russo, a beloved wife, loving daughter and sister, passed away at the age of 46 years old. Roxana earned a Master's Degree in English literature and a BA in history; she was a college English professor for 10 years. She also worked with her family for the past few years at their truck dealership. She was always the light of a family party or the classroom, making everyone's energy come to life. As serious as Roxy could be she always was ready to make jokes and have a fun time.
Roxana was the most intelligent person I ever met, and there was almost nothing she did not have an educated opinion on. I will never find another like her. She loved to debate and discuss philosophy, politics, culture, art, literature, history, religion, and many other topics. She could read faster than anyone I ever knew, and retained all that she read, and she often read 50-100 serious academic books per year. Roxana loved to entertain others and so her wit and conversation skills were put to practice often.
Roxana also loved to cook and hold parties for friends and family. She would usually hold a get together at least 1-2 times per month. Roxy liked to study new cuisine and did so as a scholar and a chef would. She would try any type of food and then if she liked it enough mastered the style of its cooking. She was a master chef of French, Italian, Argentine, Indian, English and other cuisines. Roxy also liked to garden; she grew butterfly plants/flowers, and spices and herbs. Nothing made her happier than seeing her husband, friends, and family enjoying one of her dishes. She also loved to spoil all her nieces and nephews with home baked cookies and other dishes they asked for. Roxana never had any children by her choice, but she loved everyone's kids. She loved to spoil them and then send them home.
Roxana is survived by her husband Joshua Robinson, Her parents Robert and Adriana Russo, and her sister Daniela, and over a dozen other very close family members. She loved her family so much and she lived only 5-10 minutes from every one of them. She would do anything for her friends and family. Roxana's name means brilliant sunrise and she was definitely a burning bright light that we all miss her dearly.
