Obituary

Rosenda R. Vilanova, beloved mother, grandmother, and the light of her family, passed away on July 16, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on May 29, 1941, Rosenda’s life was a tapestry woven with deep love, boundless generosity, and an unwavering commitment to those she cherished most.

Rosenda’s legacy is carried forth by her devoted children, Teresa Vilanova and Carmen Vilanova, who were blessed by her guidance, laughter, and unconditional support throughout their lives. She was also a proud and loving grandmother, forming unique bonds with each of her grandsons—Joshua, Jacob, Jeremy, and Christos. Her grandchildren remember her for her warmth, her encouragement, and the special way she made every moment feel significant.

Those who knew Rosenda will forever hold close the memory of an amazing mother and grandmother with a huge heart. Her love was as constant as the sunrise, and her compassion reached beyond her family into the broader world. She brought joy, understanding, and wisdom into every room she entered, nurturing her family through every up and down, and inspiring them with her unshakable kindness.

Rosenda’s family invites friends and loved ones to remember and celebrate her life at several services held in her honor. A visitation will take place at Maitland Chapel on July 22, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, providing time for reflection and support. During this gathering, a prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM at the same chapel. On July 23, a Mass in Rosenda’s memory will be offered at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church at 12:00 PM, followed by her entombment at Glen Haven Memorial Park, Winter Park, at 2:15 PM.

Though the world feels quieter without her gentle presence, Rosenda’s spirit continues in the hearts of those she loved. She leaves behind a legacy not only in her family but in every act of kindness she inspired. Her memory will be a source of strength, comfort, and love each day forward.
