Obituary

Rosalie "Rose" Wagner died peacefully in her home on Friday, April 29, 2016 in Maitland, Florida at the age of 98. She was just shy of her 99th birthday.

Rose was born in New York on May 16, 1917 to Italian immigrants, the late Saverio and Agata "Katie" Raia. She was the youngest of 4 children. She married her beloved Frederick "Butsy" Wagner on October 19, 1941 at St. Stanaslaus Church in Maspeth, New York. In the 40's Rose owned a Beauty Salon and years later she moved into the world of advertising. When ready to retire in 1973 they moved to their home in Maitland, Florida.

Rose was a beautiful woman inside and out who loved her family and was always full of life. She loved socializing at the NCO and Moose Clubs as well as gardening, cruising, vacationing in Disney with her grand and great-grandchildren and spending time with her friends. She was an animal lover and avid Yankee fan. She had an enormous heart and always had a kind word for everyone. She was blessed with amazing neighbors who always looked out for her, whom she called friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Carole Fagan and Joan Miller. Her grandchildren, Carolyn Jones and Michael Perrotta, Susanne Fagan and Dennis Royer, Joanna and Christopher Burlew. Her great-grandchildren, Katelyn Jones, Peyton Burlew and Cameron Burlew and many nieces and nephews. She entered the kingdom of heaven surrounded by the people who loved her.

Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure. You will always be in our hearts grandma. We love you!
