Rosaria Anna Oslacky (1958-2026)

“Jesus, I Trust in You”

Rosaria Anna Oslacky, 68, of Windermere, Florida went home to Jesus on September 19th, 2026.

She was born in the Bronx in 1958 to Calogero and Antonina Leo, the second of three children. Philip, Rosaria and Rose Mary were brought up with a strong faith in God, guided by the teachings of the Catholic church. Her family were parishioners at St. Lucy’s in the Bronx. The holy water from the spring at St. Lucy's Grotto at this very site was used by her mother to pray over her father during his battle with Lupus. Her father taught Rosaria of divine providence, the idea that God will provide all that one needs if only you ask it of him. Her mom often expressed this in Italian “Ogni desiderio Dio concede”. This principle and her unwavering faith in the Lord carried Rosaria throughout the entirety of her life.

She spent her youth creating magical moments for her family by playing interior designer and entertaining her little sister by taking her for picnics in the park after school. She sang with enthusiasm and joy in church and everywhere she went. Her sister fondly remembers her sister singing her “Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)”. In her early adulthood she was a world traveler with her dear friend Catherine, traveling with the Hertz corporation for work. She often spoke fondly of those years and all of the beautiful places she was able to visit.

Rosaria met her husband Paul in St. Joan of Arc Catholic church in the picturesque town of Sloatsberg, New York. Sharing shy smiles from across the aisle, Paul introduced himself one Sunday afternoon, beginning an extraordinarily beautiful love story. From their very first date they were inseparable- a spark that sustained them through their 34 years of marriage. They married on October 23rd, 1992, in a beautiful church ceremony and welcomed three children during their first ten years: Angelica, Rebecca and Paul. Rosaria was an incredible mother to all three of her children, creating truly memorable moments each and every day. Whether it was decorating the house beautifully, singing while she cooked dinner or creating memorable moments, Rosaria sprinkled a bit of magic everywhere her children went.

Rosaria possessed a lifelong passion for creating. In her youth that meant interior design, making beautiful dresses for her daughters alongside her mother, crocheting sweaters, and sewing toys for her son. In recent years she could often be found in her cozy sewing room, quilting- an art she learned from her treasured friend, Emily.

Above all, Rosaria will be remembered for her ever-present optimism and deep faith in the Lord. She was endlessly grateful for her family, often expressing sincere gratitude for the unconditional love she received from her husband, especially during her final years. She viewed her children as her greatest gifts from God. A deeply devout Catholic, she honored the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary, praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Rosary every day.

Rosaria is survived by her husband Paul, her children-Angelica, Rebecca and Paul, her sister Rose Mary and her brothers and sisters-in-law- Michael, Peter, Marlene, Patricia, Tracy, Martin and her mother in-law Joyce. Her nieces and nephews: Michael, Alex, Michael James, Zachary, Peter, Jesse, Joshua, Krista, Danielle and Adam. She was preceded in death and thereby reunited with her mother and father-Antonina and Calogero, her brother Philip and her father in-law, Michael.
