Ronnie Paul Dotson was born in Frankford, West Virginia on June 20, 1941. He passed away on October 21, 2016 at home in Sanford, Florida He was the son of Howard and Vosca Dotson.

A graduate of Lewisburg, H.S., Ronnie joined the U.S. Coast Guard in 1959. He graduated from West Virginia University with Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1966. Shortly after graduation, he began working for IBM, a career he enjoyed for thirty years both in West Virginia and later in Florida. In 1992, he joined Costa Del Mar from which he retired in 1997.

Ronnie leaves behind his wife Marilyn of forty-nine years, children Eric (Karen) of Sanford, Florida and Jodi Dittell (Scott) of Winter Garden, Florida as well as five grandsons – Eric Dotson Jr. of Chicago, Illinois, Alex and Colin Dotson of Sanford, Florida and Devin and Dylan Dittell of Winter Garden, Florida and a sister, Dorothy Napier of Lewisburg, West Virginia. Ronnie also leaves many nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 11 am at All Souls Historic Chapel, 800 South Oak Avenue Sanford, Florida 32773. Final Interment will be at National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida at a later date.
