Obituary

Ronald "Ron" Reiss passed away after a brief illness on January 3, 2025, in Orange City,
Florida.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Dorothy "Gail", adult children Terrin Stolley
(Tyson) and Carri Malatesta (Craig), grandson Peter (7) and sister Sharon McGaffigan (Matt). He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald F. and Margaret A. Reiss.

Ron was born on March 31, 1952, in Ravenna, Ohio and moved with his family to Florida when
he was 7 years old. Ron and Gail met in the library of Edgewater High School and were proud
to be high school sweethearts. He was a devoted father to Terrin and Carri and he rejoiced in
being Grandpa to Peter who he called his "Little Buddy." Ron was an Eagle Scout in his youth
and was thrilled when Peter joined the Cub Scouts.

Professionally, he celebrated over 40 years in the automatic fire protection industry, was a
wealth of knowledge and was respected by friends, colleagues and industry professionals.

He was the man who always seemed to know how to do everything, loved his family, being out
on his boat (almost catching fish) and had the best sense of humor—coining many "Reiss-isms"
over the years. He will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life is scheduled for January 11, 2025, at 1pm at the Community Church in Debary
located at 41 W Highbanks Road, DeBary, FL. There will be a visitation also at the church for
the hour preceding the service. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the following charitable organizations in Ron's
memory:
