Obituary

Ronald David Bledsoe, Sr. passed away on January 31, 2020 with his family at his side. He was born on June 29, 1953 in Middlesboro, Kentucky. He was raised in Rose Hill, Virginia and then Annapolis, Maryland by his loving parents, Carl and Wilma Bledsoe (deceased).

He graduated from Annapolis High School in 1971 and married Loretta Marie Marsico on October 11, 1975. Ron earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Baltimore in 1983. He was a police officer with the Anne Arundel County Police Department in Maryland where he served for 23 years before retiring as a Lieutenant in 1995.

He moved his family to Seminole County, Florida in 1995 and served with the Florida Department of Children and Families. He was a Program Administrator in the Adult Protective Services Division and retired in 2015.

Ron was known for his dry sense of humor, his ethics and principles in work, and his love of "real" country music. He was an avid golfer and fisherman, and remained a passionate fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Loretta, of 44 years; his son, Ron Jr., and his spouse Rachael; his son, Eric; and his two grandchildren, Colin and Kendall.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 6th at 6:00 p.m. at DeGusipe Funeral Home in Maitland, Florida.
A funeral Mass will be held at Annunciation Catholic Church in Altamonte Springs, Florida on Friday, February 7th at 10:00 a.m.

The family has requested flowers or donations be made to Annunciation Catholic Church in Ron's honor.
