Roger was born in Kentucky, just across the Ohio border, and his family moved to Orlando in 1950, when he was 7 years old. Throughout his life, he lived in the love of the Lord, and now he is resting in the comfort and peace of God's holy presence.

He graduated from Boone High School in Orlando and then served honorably in the U. S. Navy. He completed his AA Degree at Orlando Junior College.

He was well known in the Winter Park area. He was the parts manager at The Volvo Store in Winter Park for many years. He was an avid volunteer for Habitat for Humanity of Winter Park and also at his church.

Since childhood, he loved auto racing and shared the excitement with his best friend, John Tremblay, who he commonly called his brother from another mother. He was always ready to jump in the car and head off to any race or National Park in the USA.

He wasn't much of a cook, so he frequented the Park Avenue establishments of Pannullas and The Coop. For some reason, they thought he was the Mayor of Winter Park and Roger never denied it. He laughed every time they called him that.

He is predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Carol Sell. He is survived by his lifelong friends, John and Cecile Tremblay, his devoted partner Donna Leo, his step-daughter Debbie Landers, his half-sister Sharon Lehmann, his numerous cousins in Ohio, and of course, many friends.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 11:00am at First Congregational Church of Winter Park, 225 S. Interlachen Avenue, Winter Park, Fl 32789.
