Robin G. Nicholson (July 12, 1966 – February 15, 2026)
Robin G. Nicholson, beloved husband of Dianne Nicholson, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026, at the age of 59. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, Robin made Richmond, Virginia, his American home after moving to the U.S. in 2006. A museum director and passionate advocate for the arts, he touched countless lives through his work, creativity, and generous spirit. Robin and Dianne quietly celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary on February 14, a day made even more special as they shared a final visit together in the hospital. They married on a beach in Key West in 2016, a memory Robin cherished deeply. He is also survived by his mother, Hazel Nicholson of Edinburgh, Scotland; his beloved Scottish terrier, Hamish; extended family in the U.K.; and friends and colleagues from around the world. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robin's memory to either the 1708 Gallery or the Valentine Museum, both Richmond art institutions which Robin supported.
