Obituary

Dear family and love-honored friends,

On May 31, 2021, God almighty was up and about picking flowers. He obviously thought Robin was one of the most beautiful blossoms that day when he decided to gather her.

Robin, a native of West Orange, New Jersey, is survived by her husband of over 30 years, Manny, and their two boys Evan and Simon. We will remember Robin as the most selfless of all mothers and a devoted and adoring wife. She filled our home with the medicine of laughter, and anyone who entered became immediately infected with happiness.

Robin and I met at the Plaza Hotel in New York City, where we worked, later we moved to the Phoenician resort in Scottsdale, Arizona, where she became a pastry chef. Robin graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in psychology. Afterward, she pursued her passion for the culinary arts, and graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. She fine-tuned her skills by attending the Cordon Bleu in Paris, France, distinguishing herself in French pastries creations. The film "Home Alone 2" featured Robin's desserts in a scene filmed in a Plaza Hotel suite in New York City.

As time passed, we moved to Orlando, Florida, and Robin became what many all knew her to be -- an elementary school teacher possessing a master's degree in special education. Her teaching passion for all students was unmatched. With a sincere heart to so many little ones, Robin devoted her one thousand percent enthusiasm during and after school. She considered herself honored by so many families when invited to share in their personal lives.

Robin spoke English, French, Dutch, Spanish, and American Sign Language. But her favorite forms of expression were the love languages of food and singing. Her love for culinary delights remained; I am sure those lucky ones who experienced it can attest to that. She dispersed her love to all through food.

Robin imparted us with her passion for travel, live theatre, and the movies; traditions the boys and I intend on continuing. I will always feel privileged for Robin's love, joy, laughter, and happiness which she brought into our lives. There was never a dull moment. She will forever be irreplaceable. Anyone fortunate enough to find themselves in her aura will agree with me when I say she made you feel special like there was no one else. Her infectious and loving personality intoxicated everyone, no matter their age. She will be missed but never forgotten.

Rest in peace, my love, till we find each other again. I conclude with these words of wisdom for all: cherish the ones you love. You never know when God will decide to gather your flowers. Thank you all for loving my angel.
