Roberta had a very warm, outgoing personality making friends that last forever. To this day we receive Christmas cards from former student families. She loved being a mother including sewing clothes and costumes for her children, preparing dinners and desserts, teaching her children to pray, share, read and cook. She made sure her children's activities included sports, scouting, and learning to play various musical instruments. Her children were in the exchange student program. She loved reading books and Bible stories to her children and grandchildren.
She enjoyed traveling with David. Many of their travels were to see their children, taking them to various parts of the country. A favorite trip was with friends to Germany including a cruise on the Danube River. She also enjoyed attending many Valpo Sorority group gatherings.
