Obituary

Robert E. Watson, age 83, passed away December 13, 2015, in Lake Mary, Florida. He was born in Tuckerman, AR, on July 26, 1932. He retired after a long career in pharmaceutical sales with Eli Lilly Pharmaceuticals, Indianapolis, IN. Bob had territorial assignments in Chattanooga, TN, Augusta, GA, and Orlando, FL.

He is survived by wife, Barbara (Pennington), Children Gregg Watson of Asheville, NC, daughter Carey Watson of Portland, ME, and step-sons Sid Young of Indianapolis, IN, and Scott Young of Sanford, FL. His beloved granddaughters are Rachel Watson and Natalie Layne of Johnson City, TN. Other survivors are a brother Rev. Brock Watson of Joplin, MO and sisters Barbara Ragan of Tulsa, OK, and Jo Peebles of Houston, TX. His parents, Bob and Connie Watson, pre-deceased him, as did brothers Homer B. and Rodger, and sisters Jimmie, Jayne, and Betty Ann.

Bob was a graduate of Hendrix College, Conway, AR, and the University of Houston School of Pharmacy. He was a Methodist and served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was active as a long-distance runner most of his adult life and enjoyed other sports including tennis, baseball and basketball.

DeGusipe Funeral Home & Crematory, Maitland, FL is in charge of final arrangements. At Bob's request, no services are planned.

The family is grateful for the loving care of the Yellow Team of Hospice of the Comforter.
