Obituary

Robert L. "Bobby" Snowden, 70 of St. Petersburg, Florida unexpectedly passed away on Thursday December 7th, 2017 while under the care of hospice. His wife and forever soul mate of 47 years, Betty Ann was by his side.
Bobby was born on December 11th, 1946 in Fall River, Mass. to the late Marion Beauregard. Bobby was a member of the 1964 graduating class of B.M.C. Durfee High School in Fall River. Bobby grew up in Tiverton, Rhode Island. He was an active duty member for many years of the Tiverton RI Vol. Fire Department as a firefighter. He was also an altar boy at Holy Ghost Church of Tiverton during his youth years.
During his Military years Bobby served his country in the USAF from 1965 through 1969. His deployment duty stations were locate in England and Pakistan. Upon his return to the United States, Bobby was Honorably Discharged and immediately began a lifelong career with the Veterans Administration in the office of claims adjudication until his retirement in 2005.
Bobby saw the best in everyone, he enjoyed a good joke and always had something positive to say. Bobby was a devoted husband to his Betty Ann, the love of his life. In other words Bobby was the type of guy who would give you the "shirt off his back" if you needed it.
Bobby was a life long avid and skillful golfer who took great pleasure in the game as well as defeating his brother-in-law from RI, Bob Kitchen Jr. Bobby also loved to travel and cruise with Betty Ann.
Aside from spending time with Betty Ann, his family and their friends, Bobby loved his "fur babies" and gave them all a loving and caring home throughout their lives.
Bobby is preceded in death by his mother, Marion and his sister, Peggy Johnson. Bobby is survived by his wife Betty Ann and Abby, their loving Chihuahua fur baby. His other surviving relatives are his brother and sister-in-law, Bob Kitchen Jr. and his wife Lorraine from Cranston, RI., his brother and sister-in-law, Tom Kitchen Sr. and his wife Kathy along with Kathy's Mom, Eva Frederic from Ellenton, Fl. and his brother-in-law Mike Johnson from St. Petersburg, Fl. Bobby's nieces, Kelly Magnani, Stephanie Vansycoc and his nephews, JP Toussaint, Phillip Kitchen and TJ Kitchen. Along with serveral grand nieces and nephews.
Bobby and Betty Ann wish to extend their heartfelt gratitude to their immediate family and friends along with the hospice staff for the support they have shown.
