Robert Alex "Rob" Eriov passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 6th, 2021. Born on June 12th, 1986, in Ridgewood, New Jersey, Rob completed a family comprised of his adoring parents, Bill and Rose Ann, and his loving brother, Billy (Will). Rob and his family lived in Waldwick, New Jersey until 1994, when they moved to central Florida. He loved and adored his family. He admired his big brother beyond measure.
Rob graduated from Lake Brantley High School in 2004; he excelled academically and was a proud member of the LBHS drumline. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation, Parks and Tourism from the University of Florida in 2008 and subsequently pursued a Master's degree from UCF's prestigious Rosen School of Hospitality. Rob was a member of the Universal Orlando family for over ten years, playing a key role in product development and making many cherished friends during his time there.
A kind and gentle soul and a perpetual champion of the underdog, Rob had a central place in the hearts of all who knew him. He was caring, giving, sensitive, loyal, selfless, thoughtful, compassionate, intelligent, kind, funny, warm, genuine, and far too many other wonderful things to list; but his most evident and foundational trait was his deep love for his family and friends. He never had an unkind word for anyone. His greatest joys were in serving others, making them smile, listening with his whole heart and letting them know of their importance. Perpetually young-at-heart, he radiated a boundless joy that brightened the lives of all who spent time with him.
Rob is survived by his parents Bill and Rose Ann (nee Presti); brother Will; grandmother Eleanor Eriov; aunts and uncles Joseph and Nisra Thongpreda Presti, Catherine and Lawrence Wolven, and Thomas and Patricia Eriov; cousins David and Vanessa Wolven, Scott Wolven, Curtis Presti, Scott Wolven, Jr., and Catherine Nicole Wolven; and his beloved and devoted black lab, Ripley.
There will be a private family viewing. A celebration of Rob's life is planned for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 12th, at Church on the Drive, 1914 Edgewater Dr., Orlando, FL. You may attend virtually by following this link:
