Robert (Bob) Edmund Rawa, age 90, passed away on May 17, 2021 in Longwood, Florida. Robert was born in Baltimore, Maryland on March 16, 1931 to the late Agnes Czernikowski Rawa and Edmund Rawa.

Bob grew up in Baltimore with his younger sister Kathleen Rawa Koning. As a very young child he had rheumatic fever. His mother took him in a little red wagon for therapy to the children's hospital in Baltimore where he ended up being hospitalized for two years.

Bob married his high school sweetheart, Erma Blanche Riebel, who was the love of his life for over 70 years.

He joined the Navy and they were able to travel together for four years. When Bob's enlistment ended he and Erma went back to Baltimore where they settled. They both began working for Bendix. Soon after, Bob went to work for Martin Marietta and after 6 months got the opportunity to transfer to Florida to open up a new branch of the company in 1957.

While working Bob attended and graduated from Rollins College with a master's degree. He continued to work for Martin Marietta for 35 years. Before retiring in the early 90's Bob was president of Lockheed Martin Management Club. He was very involved in his community and was a past president of the Druid Isle HOA in Maitland. Bob was always a leader in every endeavor.

"Uncle Bob" enjoyed lots time with his family which included fishing and boating. He and Erma have entertained many people over the years while dressed as Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy.

Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen Rawa Koning and is survived by his devoted wife Erma, sister and brother-in-law Shirley and Howard Rollins and sister-in-law Ruth Holle Riebel and many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
