Robert T. Midgett, 77, died March 5th, 2019 at Hospice of the Comforter, Altamonte Springs, Fl.
Mr. Midgett was born May 8th, 1941 in Sanford, Fl to John Allen and Louise Midgett, he attended schools in Sanford, Fl and served in the Army for 3 years. He began a career as a lineman in 1964 and became a Journeyman Lineman. He worked in Alaska from 1975 to 1987 from Point Barrow in the North through numerous cities, down to Kodiak This was one of his proudest accomplishments, with many stories to tell about his life of doing line work in Alaska. When he left Alaska, he worked in almost all of the lower 48 and came back to Florida in 2000 to continue his career at Reedy Creek Energy until his death. Mr. Midgett was the last overhead lineman out of Local Union 606, with 53 years of service.
Mr. Midgett was an avid fisherman and hunter throughout his life, with many stories to tell of his 8 points, gobblers and big fish.
He is survived by Wife, Ruby, Daughter, Pamela (Chuck) West, Son, Robert Bannister (Ginger) Midgett, Grandsons, Christopher, Robert R, and John Porter, Great Grandsons, Dakota, Layne, and Alexander.
