Robert Alfonso Krauklis (Bob) passed away suddenly on February 8, 2018 aged 74 years.
Bob was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 13, 1943. He is survived by his wife Shirley Monosmith Krauklis and his 3 children Shellie, Jonas (Heather) and Jacob (Sandy) and his beloved granddaughter Kate.
Bob attended grammar school at St. Anthony's in Cicero, Illinois and graduated from St. Phillips Basilica in Chicago. He graduated from Illinois College of Podiatry in 1966 and was commissioned into the United States Navy as a Lieutenant. He served 6 years in the Navy, first in Washington D.C., then Parris Island and finally transferring to the Naval Training Center in Orlando.
In 1974 Bob began his private practice as a podiatrist with offices in Orlando and Mt. Dora. He served on the Board of Lake-Sumter Hospice and was on staff at Florida Hospital Orlando. He retired in 2010.
Bob was a lifelong Chicago Cubs and Bears fan and loved entertaining, cooking and bartending for his many friends. He was the ultimate host and will be remembered for his generosity and kindness.
A funeral Mass celebrating his life will be held on Monday, February 12 at Annunciation Church in Longwood 10:30 am. Bob will be buried with full Military Honors at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery on Tuesday at 10:00 am on February 13th, his 75th birthday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob's name to the Orlando Rescue Mission or Lake-Sumter Hospice.
