Robert Michael Koch, 72, was called home to be with our Lord on the 28th day of October, 2020.
Robert (Bob) was born in Staten Island, NY on December 5, 1947 to the late Kenneth and Rebul Koch. In 1971, Bob was drafted into The United States Army and served his country honorably in Stuttgart, Germany. For his service, he earned the National Defense Service Medal. After being honorably discharged he returned home to earn his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville. He spent his entire career as an Accountant and retired in early 2020.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Janet Marie Koch (Kee), his treasured son Nathan Robert Koch and daughter-in-law Katrina. He is also survived by his loving sister Janet Koch Rech and brother-in-law Roger. He was a beloved cousin, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend to many.
Bob enjoyed bicycling, fishing, exploring the Disney parks and traveling with his wife and family. Bob never knew a stranger. He was a foodie and enjoyed creating his own craft beers. He was devoted to Heidi and Adele, his adored dachshunds. Bob's greatest quality was looking out for others over himself. Bob may have moved to Florida, but his allegiance remained with his St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues.
A private ceremony will be held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Arrangements under the direction of DeGusipe Funeral Home.
