Robert Michael Jenkins, 79 of Fern Park, Florida passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018 surrounded by family and friends. Robert (Buddy) was born July 18, 1938 in Miami, Florida to Lee Allen Jenkins, Sr. and Josephine Albert. He is survived by daughter Terri Jenkins and brother Lee Jenkins Jr., grandson, Caiden Jenkins, nephew Lee Jenkins III, niece's Robin Kulla and Debbie Bray. Robert had an extended family of close relatives, including cousins John Albert, Bill Baron, and Lynda Cassaday.
Robert loved martial arts and was a 10th degree blackbelt. He was an avid gun collector and loved riding motorcycles. He recently took a two-week motorcycle trip to Colorado. He owned Historical Research and Recovery (HRR), a marine salvage operation which allowed him to interface with International dignitaries. He was Vice President/partner in VIPRE with his close friend and President Scott Jones. Robert retired after 22 years in the USMC while serving three tours in Vietnam, twice wounded and received multiple medals including two Purple Hearts, our Country's second highest valor award, the Silver Star and Vietnam's highest award, Cross of Gallantry.
Services for Mr. Jenkins will be held April 21, 2018 with a Memorial Service at 12 PM at our Maitland Chapel.
