Robert (Bob) J. Curry, former resident of Haverhill, MA passed away peacefully on October 10, 2023 with his loving wife and chaplain by his side in Altamonte Springs, FL at the young age of 61.
Bob was born on February 28, 1962 in Haverhill and graduated from Pentucket Regional High School in 1980. Following in his dad and godfather's footsteps, Bob worked at Shoe Carton Corporation in Methuen, MA as a printer/die cutter for 20 plus years before moving on to digital printing at Reid Graphics in Andover. He was a loyal, hard worker throughout his life when forced to retire in 2017 due to his illness. Bob and his wife Robyn lived in Haverhill for over 25 years with a brief move to Pelham NH and then settling in Winter Park, Florida to extend Bob's quality of life and continue making lasting memories. A decision they made together after renting a home in Florida during the winter months.
Bob was an adventurer who loved to travel, explore and be surrounded by friends and family. He adored his wife, Robyn (Barbone) whom he married in 1994 and shared over 31 years together. Their marriage was filled with love, devotion and everlasting memories. Both raised in Groveland, they knew each other at a younger age as Bob was friends with his wife's brother, Scott. The two met through God's hand and an unbreakable bond was created.
Bob was an avid road bicyclist who enjoyed riding every day. His longest ride being 66 miles from Haverhill, MA to Alton Bay, NH. His wife and friends were cheering him on. Bob loved spending time with Robyn and their friends in Alton Bay on weekends, traveling, boating, concert going, and the New England Patriots dynasty where lots of home gatherings took place and Super Bowl wins. He loved the outdoors and lived across from a pond as a child. The water and woods were his playground. He made yard work and outdoor maintenance look easy. His zest for life and constant smile made him a joy to be around. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife Robyn, Bob is survived by his mother Isabelle Byron, sisters Brenda Curry, Gail Horn, Nancy Amidio, Laurie Attar and his twin brother James Curry along with brother-in-law Scott Barbone and many in law's, nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his father Robert E. Curry.
In remembrance that true love lasts forever, please join us where Bob and Robyn united in marriage under God almost 30 years ago. As a true believer in the circle of life, it is most appropriate that we reunite and celebrate the life of Bob Curry for his presence in each of our lives.
