Robert H.(Bob) Schultz passed away peacefully at home on October 8, 2024 at the age of 81.
He was born in Chicago, IL but was a lifelong resident of Sanford.
Bob was an electrician for most of his life and a partner with his brother, Dick, in an
electrical contracting business for many years. Even after he retired, he was in high demand from his many long time customers who praised him for his honesty and fairness and he was
always ready to help.
He was most happy when spending time with his family and friends. Bob loved hunting,
fishing, and just being in nature. He also enjoyed his many trips to the mountains and
beach for hiking and relaxing with Debbie, his wife of 46 years. One of his favorite things was watching Nascar racing with his father-in-law. His family loved listening to his many stories of his early life and he had an amazing knowledge of history and politics.
Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and uncle and will be greatly missed by his
wife, Debbie, children, Gary (Tish) Schultz of DeLand, Robert (Susan) Schultz of Eustis,
and Dawn (Scott) Taylor of Eustis, grandchildren Linda Schultz of Lakeland, Derek Schultz
of Debary, Victoria Schultz and Abigail Schultz of Eustis, and Clay Taylor and Kevin Taylor
of Eustis and brother Dick (Sheryl) Schultz of Osteen.
He was also loved by many sister and brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and great nieces
and nephews. He had a special bond with his niece, Samantha Hulsman.
The family wishes to thank AdventHealth Hospice for great care. Special thanks to Myrtha, John Mark, Karam, Shana, and the Yellow Team.
A Gathering of Family and Friends to honor his memory will be held at Northwest Square on Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 12-2pm in DeLand. The address is 306 W. Wisconsin Ave.
