Robert C. Goings, age 69, of Lake Mary, Florida, passed away on February 18, 2025. He was born on November 16, 1955, in Jackson, MS.

He spent his career in the engineering/construction sector with Manager-type responsibilities, helping to ensure that capital projects were performed on-time and within-budget. He spent almost 30 years in Saudi Arabia working for their national oil company, Saudi Aramco, on various energy projects ranging from gas plants and refineries to pipelines and infrastructure. His last years were working as a consultant, serving the engineering/construction sector. He was a workaholic. He never stopped. He said he could not imagine retiring. Therefore, as of this writing, we can officially announce the retirement of Robert Goings.

Robert held an Associate of Applied Science degree from Hinds Community College in Mechanical Technology, a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Redlands in Business Administration and an MBA degree from Strayer University. He grew up in Utica, Mississippi where he met his wife of 50 years, Sharon Elaine Sanders, during childhood. He leaves behind his wife, Sharon, his sister, Denise Goings Strong and her family.

He had a special place in his heart for police, fire fighters and other first responders as well as the military and animal shelters and the brave people who work at the shelters.
