Robert "Bob" Edward Pagliaro of Winter Springs, Florida, born on June 14, 1954, in Houston, TX, began his new life in heaven on Aug 20, 2021.
Bob was given many gifts by God which he used to make the world a better place.
He began his successful career in the telecommunication industry in 1975. He started with southern bell as a technician climbing poles in the Florida Keys. As the company's named changed over the years to BellSouth and finally AT&T, Bob remained with the company and was promoted to network manager for southeast construction & engineering division of AT&T. He retired in 2016 after 41 years with the company.
Bob was an active member of St Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Altamonte Springs, the Knights of Columbus and the men's club. Over the years, he participated in many events with the Knights such as the church's annual Lenten fish fries and community fest.
In his younger years, Bob assisted in the construction of many houses for Habitat for Humanity. He also went on construction missions sponsored by the Church. One was in the Dominican Republic building houses for people in the Diocese of Orlando's sister diocese of San Juan de Maguria. Another construction mission was to help rebuild a rectory in Mississippi following hurricane Katrina.
Over the years, he volunteered to help single adults in his local community maintain and repair their homes.
Bob was a talented cook especially of Italian food. He enjoyed the whole process involved in preparing a meal including creating, shopping, cooking, serving and clean up. He often cooked meals for people in the community who were experiencing difficult times.
Another hobby of Bob's involved cars. He was interested in the newest models, engineering technology, attending car auctions and car racing of all types. He enjoyed reading the car magazines he collected. Also, he used his knowledge to help people choose the best car for themselves and often went with them to negotiate the best deal.
Since Bob was dedicated to volunteering, he also helped his wife in her pet rescue efforts. His contribution consisted of transporting animals to veterinarians and to their adoptive, forever homes. His forte, however, was in the designing, building and installation of numerous outdoor feeding stations and shelters which had to blend into the environment to be inconspicuous as well as indoor playgrounds and comfort stations.
Bob is survived by his wife of 38 years, Marilyn; his sisters Donna (Peter) Midgett, Joanne Zimmerman, sister-in-law Margaret (George) Gram and many nieces, & nephews. He joins in heaven his brother Michael, and his parents Michael & Antoinette Pagliaro.
