Rev. Robert A Doorn "Papa", age 93, of Mt. Dora, Florida, was called home to be with Jesus on January 28, 2023. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on October 15, 1929, to Orie and Winifred Doorn. Papa graduated from Creston High School in 1947, and from North Central Bible College in 1951 with his bachelor degree in Theology. Later earning his Doctorate from Kingsway Fellowship International. He was called to the ministry at the age of 18 and never looked back. He married the love of his life, Glenyce Irene Salseth, on July 25, 1950. Together they pastored churches in Wisconsin and Michigan until 1989 when God called them full time to the mission field with a home base in Florida. They ministered in over 60 nations in their lifetime, always putting Jesus first.

Rev. Robert A. Doorn was survived by children: Tim (Imelda), Mark, and Susan (John); grandchildren: Gavin, John Asher (step), John David (step), Lauren, Eden (step), Chrissy, Kristin, Simone, Preston, and TJ; sibling: Larry. He is preceded in death by his beloved Glenyce.
