Robert J. Dermody 80 of St. Petersburg passed away at home Wednesday, February 15, 2017, surrounded by his long time companion of 32 years, Loretta, and other family and friends.

Bob was born in Trenton, NJ, and came to St. Pete in 1978.
He retired from Allstate Insurance.

In his youth he was a life guard at the Jersey Shores in the summer and Miami Beach in the winter.

Bob loved sports, especially football, loved the beaches, sunshine and Derby Lane which he attended most Wednesdays and Saturdays.

He loved and was proud of his Irish heritage.

Bob was predeceased by his parents James and Alice Shannon Dermody.

He leaves children Lori, Lisa, Heather, Robbi; four grandchildren and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice St. Pete Orange Team.

A celebration of life will be held at Derby Lane, 4th floor box seats area on Wednesday, March 1st from 12:30 pm till whenever.
