Robert Glen Benninger went home to be with the Lord on 7/23/2025 after a long illness in Sanford, Florida. He was born on 3/13/1943 in Buffalo, New York to Gerald and Willavene Benninger. He is survived by his wife Carolyn, daughters Jill Benninger, Wendy (Wolf) son Robert (Sybil) and stepson James Dowling (Kelly). He has 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He has one brother Richard (Jan) living in California. One stepson Joseph Dowling (Cindy) and brother Eugene (Carol) preceded Bob In death.

Bob joined the United Stated Air Force at 21 years of age. Upon discharge he returned to the Williamsville, New York area. He worked for many years at the Mennen Greatbatch Company in Clarence, New York as a technician. He was proud to assemble parts for the first cardiac pacemakers. He was also a million-dollar salesman for the Hunt Real Estate Company in Williamsville, New York. He also worked at the Town of Hamburg Senior Center for many years. He enjoyed the "seniors" and helped them whenever he could.

Bob attended college in California. That is when his love of traveling began. He and Carol traveled to all but 5 states as well as Mexico and Venezuela and many cruises.

Bob served the Lord all of his adult life. He was an usher and Sunday School teacher in Williamsville, New York. In Hamburg, New York he and Carol had a small group Bible Study in their home for many years.

After relocating to Arizona, they continued to be active in their church. Bob felt called to help the elderly and could often be seen up on roofs working.

While in Florida Bob was an active member of the Gideons International. He placed many Bibles in the hotels in the Orlando area. He also visited the Homebound seniors regularly.

Bob never met a person he could not engage in conversation. Although Bob was an avid bowler and golfer, he would most want to be remembered for his love of Christ and his willingness to share his belief with others.
