Robert Anthony Arguelles, born on Dec. 1, 1951 in Memphis, Tennessee, died on Jan. 6, 2020 in Orlando, Florida.
Mr. Arguelles is survived by his two sons, Brandon (Yessika) Arguelles and Jeremy Arguelles of Central Florida; grandfather of Isabella and Matthew Arguelles and two brothers, Paul and Raymon Arguelles.
He had a great love of the ocean, boating and fishing and loved to spend weekends in Titusville, Daytona Beach, Cocoa Beach, Sarasota, Longboat Key, Ana Maria Island, Clearwater, Boca Grande, or Gaspirill. Robert was an expert in Yoshika Karate for over 20 years and started training and refining his martial arts skills from when he was a teenager. Robert had over a 30-year career as an expert in drywall installation, finishing, and repair. He worked in more than one thousand homes both small and large in areas of Central Florida including Winter Park, Windermere, and Disney World properties.
No one was a stranger to Robert. Known for his outgoing personality, he made many friends throughout the years and could easily speak with people he knew well, or not at all. In his desire to connect with his Spanish heritage and knowing the many Spanish speaking people he would encounter in the construction industry, Robert taught himself to speak the language fluently.
If you asked Robert what he thinks his greatest achievement in his life would be, he would likely say raising his two wonderful sons of whom he was very proud. However, by what his family saw in the months before his death, they truly believe and are convinced what he would say now is his greatest achievement in his life would be having surrendered his life to Jesus Christ and making Him, the Lord of his life.
