Rita Novotny died peacefully in Maitland, FL on June 10, 2021 at the age of 86. She was born in Gates,
PA and is survived by her brother, Eugene Lobosky and her daughters, Leslie Barclay and Christine
Novotny.
Rita lived a very eclectic life and in some ways, was ahead of her time. She was very into nutrition and
health foods long before it was the fashion. In her younger years she was quite athletic. She played
softball, golf and enjoyed swimming. She was an accomplished artist and enjoyed drawing in charcoal
and painting in watercolor and acrylics. She also stayed close with her high school girlfriends her entire
life. Rita enjoyed living in Winter Park, FL for 35 years and loved gardening, reading, sewing and her
cats.
