Born on July 7, 1963, Rickey Mahabir proved his greatness to the world by the number of lives he has touched. After spending 58 years on earth as a friend and beloved confidant to many, he was called to his last departure on February 25, 2022.

Rickey is preceded by parents Ramnarine and Rama Mahabir, brothers Sunil and Joseph, and daughter Rachael. He is survived by his wife Lalita, his children Amanda, Marissa, Anthony, and Brianna; brothers Barry, Shawn and Davey, sister Ann Marie and numerous friends and family.

God saw that he was getting tired
So He put his arms around him and whispered, "Come with Me."
With tearful eyes, we saw him fade away.
Although we loved him dearly,
We could not make him stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best

As Rickey reaches his final destination, we part from him with these final words "In peace may you leave the shore. In love may you find the next. Safe passage on your travels until our final journey to the ground. May we meet again."
