Rickey L. Carter, 66 years old, of Sanford Florida passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019. Mr. Carter was born on Friday, August 21, 1953 in Sanford, Florida to his father Eugene Carter and mother Cleo Carter, who have both have preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Cecilia Carter, daughters Shannon Tossi and Jennifer Ramos, his six grandchildren: Sara, Megan, Grant, Sophia Tossi and Jared and Jacob Ramos. Rickey served in the army as part of the 82nd airborne. He went on to work 35 years at Seminole State College, retiring in 2018. Rickey was a devoted sports fan. He was passionate about football, namely the Miami Dolphins. He made a life of his delight for baseball, playing all through his youth in Sanford and then coaching little league for his city. Fishing would also be a treasured sport in his life. But the pinnacle of his love would be reserved for his family. He will be greatly missed by all of those who were gifted with his company.
