Mr. Richard Joseph Naparty's Obituary
Richard Naparty "Dick", previously of Sarasota Springs, NY, passed away in Florida on August 29, 2014, due to esophageal cancer at age 67.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Dannelle "Danni" Chiplock, formally of Latham, NY, two daughters, Kristin of California, and Lesli of Florida, two sisters, Kathy of Connecticut and Joyce of New York, two grandsons, Jonathan of Colorado and Adam of Florida, and a precious great-granddaughter Anabella Sofia of Colorado.
Richard resided in Scotia, Latham and Sarasota until 1985 when he moved to Florida. He graduated from Scotia/Glenville High School and Hudson Valley College. He was an honorable veteran in the US Navy, and was employed by GE, IBM, and Martin Marietta before retiring in 2006.
He was an accomplished guitarist, singer, cabinet maker, scuba diving instructor, polo player, photographer. Only his love and caring for animals surpassed his passion for music, working with wood, nature, and riding his Harley.
