Richard P Murray, 92, Altamonte Springs, FL formerly of Oil City, PA, passed away August 4, 2025.
He was born in Oil City the son of the late Gerald and Thelma Ball Murray. On June 19, 1954, he married the late Kathleen E Murray in Oil City, embracing a lifelong commitment. They recently celebrated their extraordinary 70th wedding anniversary.
He graduated from Oil City High School and later served in the US Army. He was employed by National Fuel Gas for 35 years.
Surviving are his 3 children: William Murray of Oil City, Ann Nieves (husband, Omar) of Altamonte Springs, FL, Patrick Murray (wife, Carrie) of Oil City. Grandchildren, Christopher Murray, Madison, Hannah and Brianna Murray of Bradford, PA, Annamarie Nieves of Altamonte Springs, FL, Alek Tovar, of Oil City, PA, Elsa Tovar, of Oil City, PA., Andrew Harbaugh, of Clarion, PA, and Abigail Harbaugh, of Slippery Rock, PA. Siblings surviving are Gerald (wife, Carolyn) James (wife, Eunice) and sister Katherine Holdsworth (husband, Mark) all Houston, TX.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Murray, of Oil City and 3 brothers: Seward, Ronald and Bruce Murray.
